[Aaaaand Sanzo merely stares over lazily. One eye open as he watches Alec splash around in the lagoon like he's a goddamn kid on a field trip. Well, technically more than half of the people in this town were on a field trip of some sort, but that was beside the point.]

Hmph.

[How old are you exactly Alec? Sanzo is judging. Not that he wasn't always doing that. Heck, he would do the same when he saw his own allies back home act that way as well. But at least he didn't know Alec enough to make some witty comment out-loud on the matter. Instead he didn't his best to ignore the splashing noises, tilting his head back against the shore and closing his eyes.

This water was so perfect. You cold practically fall asleep in it if you sat there to long. Which... Sanzo was actually starting to do a little.]

[Alec swims for several minutes in peace and quiet before he begins to get the suspicion that it's gotten a little too quiet. Surfacing from the water, he glances around to see if the monk has left, only to spot him in the same place he was before...except with his eyes closed. And he's gotten oddly still.

...And he appears to be sinking dangerously low into the water.]

Hey. Get out of the water if you're going to sleep.

.... Huh?

[Good catch Alec! It seems bringing attention to what was going on was enough to startle the monk awake, causing him to shake alert. Of course that meant he ended up inadvertently splashing himself in the face with water, but at least he wasn't drowning.]

I... I'm awake.

[Liar.

But instead he's going to use this opportunity to simply glare at Alec almost accusingly.
