Despite the friendly atmosphere of the party, tensions are high. Considering the nature of both parties I wouldn't be surprised if a war would erupt any given moment.
They're practically looking for an excuse.

Date: 2018-01-17 08:07 am (UTC)It's sad to think that soon the things they took as acts of good will might be twisted to fit a narrative they want to capitalize on-- Both sides.
I fear I will never understand the desire for war when peace could be obtained so easily. We are managing it now--I don't see why it should end once we separate. [She sighs softly an shakes her head.] But, it will end. I believe the phrase goes something about hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst?

Date: 2018-01-23 06:31 pm (UTC)[Nodding his head, Sanzo looked over the party, the various outfits of different colors representing different countries catching his eye. It was friendly competition at the moment, but it was fairly obvious how seriously the citizens of each side took it.]
I have my bias for one side over the other myself, but that is merely due to personal preferences and an overall need for self preservation. But in terms of how it's all handled, really it's obvious that both of them would much prefer to be at each others throats rather than experiencing this false sense of peace.
[It was no different from how his life was back at home...]
They have a complex history, with a lot going on. And I doubt either side wants to forget the losses they both suffered any time soon.
